Journey
He found the game early.
He never really left it.
Gab Bosch's relationship with basketball began simply: he went outside to play. What started as a childhood alternative to staying indoors became the pursuit he would continue choosing through adolescence, college, and into adulthood — through training, competition, setbacks, championships, and now coaching the next generation of players.
The beginning
How it started
Basketball entered Gab's life almost by accident. His older brothers often competed for time on the family computer. As the youngest, Gab knew there was little point joining the argument, so he went outside.
He found basketball there.
What began as something to do became something he wanted to understand, practice, and get better at. Before long, basketball was no longer simply how Gab spent his time. It was how he chose to spend it.
Age 10–11
His first investment in the game
When Gab won ₱10,000 in a school raffle, he had an unusual idea for what to do with the money. He found a basketball coach and used his winnings to pay for training. The decision was entirely his own.
Years before basketball became a serious pursuit, Gab was already investing in becoming a better player.
2014
Already in the game
By 2014, Gab was playing organized basketball. The games became part of a larger pattern that would continue throughout his youth: play, learn, train, return.
2018
Seeking better competition
As a teenager, Gab actively looked for opportunities to improve. He attended basketball clinics, sometimes waking before dawn to make training, and participated in the Kevin Boyle Basketball Camp.
He was no longer simply playing whenever basketball was available. He was seeking out environments that could make him better.
2019
Performance begins to follow preparation
Competing in Passion Sports Tournament Season 4, Gab was named Best Player of the Game after recording 20 points, 6 rebounds, 1 steal, and 2 blocks.
20 PTS · 6 REB · 1 STL · 2 BLK
The game came first
For years, Gab played despite being smaller than many of the players around him. There were games for which he was not selected and opportunities that did not come his way. He continued training.
His eventual growth spurt changed his physical profile, but it did not create his commitment to basketball. By then, the commitment had been there for years.
College years
Basketball and a degree
Gab continued competing while studying Air Transportation at PATTS College of Aeronautics.
Basketball remained a constant alongside the demands of completing his degree, with Gab competing in collegiate, community, and commercial leagues throughout those years.
2025
Champion · MVP
At the 2025 PATTS Sportsfest, Gab's team won the championship and he was named Most Valuable Player.

2026
The next chapter
Gab graduated from PATTS College of Aeronautics in 2026 with a BS in Air Transportation, fulfilling the commitment he had made to complete his education.
With his degree finished, he chose to give basketball more of his time: continuing to train, competing across commercial leagues, pursuing higher-level playing opportunities, and developing his work as a coach for young players.
The game he discovered as a child is now both a competitive pursuit and something he teaches to others.

Still in the game.
More than a decade after he first went outside to play, basketball remains the work Gab continues to choose — as a player still testing how far he can go, and as a coach helping younger players discover what they can become.
